Little, 78 Buried Dec. 13 At Mill Swamp Funeral services for George Kennie Little, 78, of Isle of Wight County, who died Saturday, December 11th, were conducted Monday, December 13th at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of the Bullock Funeral Home, Smithfield. The Rev. L.E. Holzbach, pastor of Mill Swamp Baptist Church, officiated. Burial followed in the Mill Swamp Cemetery. Mr. Little died at the home of his niece, Mrs. C.J. Little, in Surry County. He was a native of Isle of Wight County, but had lived in Newport News forty years, where he was foreman of the C & O Railroad. He had been a farmer in Isle of Wight for the past ten years following his retirement. Other than Mrs. Little, he is survived by four nieces, Mrs. E.F. Little of Ivor; Mrs. R.J. Little, Mrs. M.A. Delk, Mrs. W.C. Moody of Smithfield; and three nephews, C.S. Delk of Ivor; M.A. Delk of Smithfield and W.J. Little of Warwick. CLARK, daughter of Archer & Nancy [PRESTON] CLARK, m. 9 Jan 1868. (Isle of Wight Co. #2) Jason & Emma LITTLE and George's brother Harry (1881 - 1902), Emmett (1884 - 1906) & James Jason LITTLE (1879 - 1919) are buried in a LITTLE family cemetery on Mill Swamp Rd. {IWCHS GSSTF #220} Emma's D.Cert. 1929-16708 (Newport News #211) gives widow of Jackson LITTLE.
