Mrs. G. B. Latimer Buried Dec. 8 At Benns Church 

  Mrs. Bettie Thomas Latimer, 77, widow of George Benton Latimer, died Monday, 
December 7; 1959, in a Norfolk hospital after several years' illness. 

  Daughter of Noah and Elizabeth Pruden Thomas, she was a native of 
Carrollton, Isle of Wight County, and had lived in Norfolk the past several 
years.  She was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church. 

  Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. W.R. Norsworthy, Mrs. William E. Rountree 
and Mrs. Edith L. Garner of Norfolk and Hildred Jones of Ada, Ohio; a sister, 
Mrs. E.G. Schmit of Crittenden; four grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren. 

  A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 8, at 2 P.M. in the Bullock 
Funeral Home by the Rev. C. Ambrose Turner of Larchmont Methodist Church, 
Norfolk, and the Rev. B.W. Coe of Oak Grove Methodist Church, Isle of Wight 
County, with burial in St. Luke's Memorial Cemetery, Isle of Wight County.
