He was the husband of Mrs. Sarah Bradshaw Lankford, who survives him, and a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. His parents were the late Steven and Nancy Bunn Lankford [sic*] of Isle of Wight County. Besides his wife he is survived by a niece and nephew. Funeral services for Mr. Lankford were conducted Tuesday afternoon at five o'clock at the grave in Beaver Dam Church cemetery by his pastor, Rev. Randolph Gregory, and Rev. E.C. Thornton. Pallbearers were Tom Lankford, Dr. Gavin Bradshaw, Clinton Bradshaw, Elihu Lankford, W.J. Elisha ["Elish"] was informant for the D.Cert. (1924 #25377 {Suffolk #328}) of his son T. Ralph, who was accidentally shot; it states Elish was b. in N.C., "Sary" in Va. The family appears in the 1870 Census in Holy Neck Dist., Nansemond Co. - Stephen, age 64; Sarah, 38; Delilah, 6; Elisha, 4; with them is Nancy Bun, age 60; all b. Virginia.
