All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Mrs. Ida Lawrence Buried at Windsor Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Holland Lawrence were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Windsor Baptist Church by the Rev. B.A. Biddle, pastor, and the Rev. J. Sydney Cobb. Burial was in the Windsor Cemetery. Rev. Biddle read the poem, "In My Father's House" and the church choir sang "There Is A Fountain." A quartet composed of Mrs. L.H. Edwards, Mrs. A.D. Johnson, Cecil Eley and Rufus Darden, accompanied by Mrs. Marvin Eley sang, "There's A Land That Is Fairer Than Day." The pall was of lavender mums and red roses. Pallbearers were A.D. Johnson, W.H. Johnson, L.T. Hall, G.I. Babb, Eugene Atkins, C.R. Nelms, J.S. Cobb, Jr., and S.E. Roberts. D.Cert. 25395 (Windsor #17) Her father John D. HOLLAND (1849 - 1924) is buried with his first wife Julia A. (PIERCE) HOLLAND (1861 - 1884) in a HOLLAND family cemetery on Courthouse Hwy. All the graves are unmarked, so her mother "Nannie" Nancy S. (KEELY) HOLLAND (b. Jan 1860) may also be buried there. {IWCHS GSSTF #160} Find a Grave calls it Holland Cemetery #2.
