JAMES M. MATTHEWS 

   Burial services for James M. Matthews who died at the home of his brother 
Jesse Matthew, Friday, November 18th, were conducted at the grave in Uzzell’s 
Cemetery on Saturday November 19, at 2:00 p.m.

   Active pallbearers were John Godwin, Jr., Paul Godwin, J.R. Wilson, J.F. 
Wilson, Shady Wilson, R.B. Wilson, A.W. Horne and Sherman Horne.

   The deceased is survived by four sisters, Mrs. John Wilson, Mrs. John 
Godwin, Sr., Isle of Wight, Mrs. George Crumpler Suffolk; Mrs. I.J. Monell, 
Norfolk; one brother, J.C. Matthews, Isle of Wight.

Isle of Wight Co. native, d. 18 Nov 1938, Isle of Wight Co., age 64, 
interred in Uzzell’s Methodist Church Cemetery*, 19 Nov 1938,
