He was a retired farmer of Isle of Wight County and a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Lulie E. Munford; two sons William A Munford of Smithfield and Leslie M Munford of Hollis, NY; three daughters Mrs Oddie Barlow, Mrs Josie Edwards, and Mrs Alice Branch all of Smithfield, a sister Mrs C T Thorne of Newport News; 2 half sisters Mrs Lee Gordon of Petersburg and Mrs Lucy Edwards Cross of Smithfield, two half brothers Willie Brown of Peterburg and McKinley Brown of Isle of Wight; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 3 pm in the Chapel of the Jones Funeral Home by Rev John P Leitner assisted by Rev J W Crocker Jr of Yorktown. Burial was at Mill Swamp Cemetery.
