Mrs. Texie U. Munford 

Isle of Wight - Mrs Texis Uzzell Munford, 74, of Route 258, died Tuesday in 
Louise Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk.

A native of Windsor, she retired from Isle of Wight public schools.

Survivors include her husband, Carr Henry Munford; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen 
M. Harris of Franklin and Mrs. Dolores M. Harris of Richmond; two sisters, 
Mrs. Emma Lee Tomlinson of Marathon, Fla, and Mrs. Mary Catherine Whitley of 
Portsmouth; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Friday in St Luke's Memorial 
Park by Dr. Donald R. Rhoton.

The family receive friends at the residence.

Colonial Funeral Home in Smithfield is in charge.

TEXIE UZZELL MUNFORD 

   ISLE OF WIGHT - Texie Uzzell Munford, 74, died April 28, in a Suffolk 
hospital.

   Mrs. Munford, a native of Windsor, retired from Isle of Wight Public 
Schools.

   Survivors include her husband, Carr H. Munford; two daughters, Ellen M. 
Harris of Franklin and Dolores M. Harris of Richmond; two sisters, Emma L. 
Tomlinson of Marathon, Fla., and Mary C. Whitley of Portsmouth; seven 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

   A graveside service was conducted Friday in St. Luke’s Memorial Park, 
Smithfield by the Rev. Donald R. Rhoton.  Colonial Funeral Home handled 
arrangements.

Her name was sometimes written Texanna.  Her grandchildren called her Tek. 
   Typo in "Daily Press" gave Texis. 

Her parents, Jeter & Lula Emma (MUNFORD) UZZELL,  are buried in 
   Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, near Windsor.  (IWCHS GSSTF #20) 

Her in-laws, Moody A. Sr. & "Susie" (RAIFORD) MUNFORD, are buried in the 
   RAIFORD-MUNFORD family cemetery, near Corinth.
