METTIE FRANCES SPADY MINGA 

MRS. METTIE F. MINGA 

  Mrs. Mettie Frances Minga, 64*, died February 21, at her residence in Rescue 
after a short illness.  She was the wife of E.C. Minga and the daughter of the 
late Mr. and Mrs. William Feddy*.

  Besides her husband she is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Marian Wyatt, of 
Phoebus; Mrs. Helen Hall of Isle of Wight Courthouse; Mrs. Zelma Watkins and 
Mrs. Nellie Mae Marshall of Rescue and Mrs. Margaret Joyner, of Zuni; three 
sons: W.I. Minga of Salem; Charlie Ray Minga of Isle of Wight Courthouse, and 
Herman Minga of Phoebus; one sister, Mrs. Simmie Ward of Mathews County, and 
several grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the 
residence.  Burial was in Old Saint Luke's Cemetery.

   FamilySearch.org gives the year wrong (1889). 

Birthdate & place from D.Cert. #25957 {Holy Neck #292}, which gives Mittie, 
   age 63y,8m,5d, dt/o William & Mary Jane (BODNER) SPADY [read Spody].
