Manning, of Isle of Wight County, died Saturday at her home in Battery Park after a long illness. Besides her husband Henry J. Manning, she is survived by a son, H.A. Manning; two daughters, Mrs. Alex Martin and Mrs. E.A. Martin, and eight grandchildren, all of Isle of Wight County. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Uzzell's Church by the Rev. E.C. [sic*] Henley, assisted by Paul R. Best. The church choir sang "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" and Mrs. G.H. Hubbard sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus". Active pallbearers were Alvin Martin, Woodrow Martin, Martin Watkins, Clarence Crumpler and William Schroding. Burial was in the church cemetery. Lucy Olivia (MOODY; Mrs. Henry J.)
