He was a native of Nansemond County and the husband of Mrs. Mary Virginia Williams March and the son of Mrs. Sadie B. Johnson March and the late Johnnie M. March. He was a farmer and member of Beaver Dam Church, a deacon, assistant secretary of the Sunday school, and a member of the Men's Bible Class. He was a member of the Carrsville Ruritan Club, Carrsville Volunteer Fire Department. He was president of the Sunbeam Hunt Club and also a member of the Camp P.D. Hunt Club. Other than his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Karen L. March; two sons, Brian L. and Stephen W. March, all of the home. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, Jr. with burial in Beaver Dam Church Cemetery.
