Edwin C. Thornton Jr. Burial was in the church cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge. Pallbearers were DeWitt Wright, John Edward Rose, Carlson Daughtrey, Hunter Daughtrey, Willie Winborne and William Rose. Mrs. March, 84, died Wednesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, after a short illness. She was the widow of Thomas Anthony March of Greenwood, S.C., and a daughter of James A. and Mrs. Louise Edwards Duke of Gates County, N.C. She was born in Dodge County, Ga. She lived in Greenwood 50 years and in this area two years. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Surviving is a brother, James Addison Duke of Oxford, N.C.
