All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ THOMAS ANTHONY MARCH Thomas Anthony March, husband of Mrs. Minnie Lou Duke March, a former resident of Nansemond County, died Friday morning, April 8, at his home in Greenwood, S.C., after several months of illness. The body was brought to Franklin on Saturday morning via the Seaboard Air Line Railroad and was taken to the Holland Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted at four o'clock Saturday afternoon at the grave in the old Duke family burying ground* near Carrsville by Rev. E.C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. The pallbearers were T.E. Pittman, Vance Pittman, Rupert March, Tom Pittman, Harry Langston, Jr. and Dan Langsston. Thomas' Find a Grave Mem. (#146918587) and those of his in-laws show them in New portion, Sect. D, Plot 14. The gravestone of his father-in-law (d. 1890) was erected by "his loving wife" (d. 1921). She owned a farm (#76) in Holy Dist, Nansemond Co. in the 1900 Census.
