Mr. Marshall, who was connected by birth and marriage with some of the oldest families in Isle of Wight, was a son of the late Thomas J. and Mrs. Martha Marshall Wright, and is survived by his widow, who was Miss Effie Briggs; one brother, J.G. Marshall, of Suffolk; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Anna Gray, of Nansemond County; Mrs. Clarence Edwards and Mrs. W.H. Andrews, of Suffolk, and Mrs. M.E. Edwards, of Windsor, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Marshall was a charter member of Windsor Methodist Church, and a member of the board of stewards of the church. Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock by the Rev. R.T. Clarke, assisted by the Rev. R.V. Owens, the Rev. N.B. Foushee, the Rev. A.N. Lewis, the Rev. J. Sidney Cobb, of Windsor Baptist Church; Dr. W.D. Harward, of Windsor Christian Church; the Rev. Dr. W.W. Staley, and the Rev. H.S. Hardcastle, of Suffolk Christian Church. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the following nephews: W.B. Batten, N.T. Gray, Willie Briggs, B.B. Briggs, Marion Hall, Marshall Andrews, Robert Edwards and Ralph Roberts.
