MORRISON BURIED SUNDAY Mrs. Laura Theresa Todd Morrison, 86, widow of William* Wilson Morrison, died Friday night at the home of her sister, Miss Diana Todd in Smithfield. She was the daughter of the late Edward Moore and Nannie Robinson* Todd and a native of Smithfield. Surviving her is the one sister, Miss Diana Todd. Burial services were conducted at the grave in the family lot in Old Saint Luke's Cemetery, on the Smithfield-Suffolk Highway, Sunday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Brayshaw officiating. (SOUTHALL) TODD, are buried there also. Robinson was her mother's middle name. Her m.rec. (22 Nov 1854) gives Nancy R. Southall, 29 single, dt/o J.B. {James Barrett?} & M. Southall. (IoW.Co. M.Reg. {BVS copy}, 1854 {mixed dates} p. 1 of 3) Her husband's name was Willis, not William; b. 29 Nov 1871, Smithfield, sn/o Col. Emmett M. & Virginia Augusta (WILSON) MORRISON; d. 5 Sep 1931, Surry Co. Mrs. W.N. Morrison, of Surry, was the informant. (D.Cert. #22629 {Cobham #17}) Her father-in-law was the first Superintendant of IoW.Co. schools, 1870-1881.
