MORGART LOSES LIFE IN RIVER Proprietor of Hotel Bearing His Name, Near Smithfield Drowns Suffolk, Va., Aug. 1 - J.A. Morgart, the proprietor of the hotel at Morgart's Beach, on the James River, near Smithfield, widely known throughout that section, was drowned in the James yesterday afternoon in front of the hotel, as he was swimming back from his motor boat to shore. Cumberland, MD, and d. 30 Jul 1918 {though Dr. Parker did not sign until 3 Aug}. His widow Olive Blanche (MACURDY) MORGART (1870-1941) returned to PA and is emtombed in the Versailles Mausoleum, McKeesport and Versailles Cem., McKeesport, Butler Co., PA.
