NEWSOME* Curtis A. Newsom*, age 32, died Friday, November 3d, at 6:40 p.m. at Dr. Bell's Hospital in Williamsburg. He is survived by his wife, Myrtie Newsom, and four small children, Curtis Edward, Alice, Mildred and Clarence, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. L.P. Newsom of Phoenix City, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Helms of Norfolk, Va. and Mrs. Eunice Buickholz of Dayton Beach, Florida, and three nieces, Miss Bonnell and Audrey Helms of Norfolk, Va. and Jean Buickholz of Dayton[a] Beach, Florida and four nephews, Pierce, Albert, Weston and Eugene Helms all of Norfolk, Va. Funeral services were held at Buicktroute Funeral Parlor at one p.m. Sunday, November 5th. The body was then taken to Bethany Church burial ground in Isle of Wight County pallbearers were C.T. Hurst, J.W. Ironmonger, S.F. Tillery, A.E. Johnson, L.N. MacDonald and Muriel Bowen. Note that there are several other cemeteries with Bethany in the name.
