Mary Lizzie Johnson Nelms 

  Mrs. Mary Lizzie Johnson Nelms, 81, of 200 W. Constance Road, the widow of 
Leon E. Nelms and a former, 48-year resident of Norfolk, died Saturday in 
Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. 

  She was born in Isle of Wight County and moved back to Suffolk in 1972.  She 
was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church of Norfolk. 

  Survivors include two sons, Carlton E. Nelms of Waukegan, Ill., and Leroy R. 
Nelms of Virginia Beach, three grandchildren, and a great-grandson. 

  A funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Chapel, by the Rev. G. Preston Jr.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn 
Cemetery, Norfolk.  The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 
9.
