Nov. 9, - The burial services of Mrs. Virginia Nelms, widow of J.E. Nelms, who died at Newport News Monday, were held today at Shiloh church, near Windsor, Va., conducted by Rev. C.C. Cox. The body was brought to Smithfield and taken to the Shiloh cemetery. The pallbearers were the nephews of the deceased, L.J. Daughtrey and R.L. Daughtrey of Holland, Va.; A.W. Daughtrey and H.W. Daughtrey of Newport News; Ryland Pearce of the county; Abram Milteer and Jesse Daughtrey of Churchland. Mrs. Nelms is survived by five brothers, D.P. Daughtrey of Newport News; R.C., T.J., J.H., and J.K.P. Daughtrey of the county, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Duke, of Tampa, Fla. She was a native of Nansemond County, and was the youngest member of that branch of the Daughtrey family. She lived for many years in Windsor, Va., and was 67 years of age.
