Burial will be in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Nurney, 67, a retired farmer, died Sunday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was an Army veteran of World War I. A lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, he was a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Gray Nurney; six sons, John D. Nurney, Quinton Nurney and James W. Nurney of Windsor, Arthur L. Nurney of Whaleyville, Raleigh R. Nurney of Rescue and Jack R. Nurney of Smithfield; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Harris of Windsor and Mrs. Mildred B. Pippin and Mrs. Mary J. Pippin of Suffolk; three brothers, George Nurney and Marvin Nurney of Windsor and William W. Nurney of Smithfield; a sister, Miss Anne Nurney of Smithfield, and nine grandchildren.
