Burial will be in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Barbee [sic; Maggie*] Horne, near Windsor. Mrs. Nurney, 79, died Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Horne, after a long illness. The widow of Charles Henry Nurney, she was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, and a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church. She is survived by four other daughters, Mrs. R.T. James of Elberon, Mrs. G.W. Little of Portsmouth, Mrs. Herbert Stoops of Glenwillard, Pa., and Mrs. Edward D. Turner of Smithfield; four sons, John Lee Nurney, Claude A. Nurney, both of Ivor, William S. Nurney of Glenwillard, Pa., and Belbert S. Nurney of Newport News; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great- grandchild.
