O'Berry WINDSOR - Mrs. Annie Norris O'Berry, 85, of Route 3 died Monday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Joseph Henry O'Berry. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, Central Hill Bible Class, and Woman's Missionary Union. Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae Spenyovics of Chesapeake, Mrs. Ruby Wright, Mrs. Susie White, and Mrs. Alice Norfleet of Suffolk, Mrs. Sarah Britt of Smithfield, Mrs. Marjorie Goodrich of Wakefield, and Mrs. Barbara Worrell of Ivor; three sons, Edward E. O'Berry of Wakefield, Emmitt W. (Pete) O'Berry of Windsor; 30 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, by the Rev. Robert Wilkerson. Burial will be in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Mrs. Annie O'Berry Mrs. Annie Belle Norris O'Berry, 85, of Rt. 3, Windsor, died on Monday in Louise Obici Hospital in Suffolk. She was a native of Southampton County, daughter of the late Robert B. [sic; L.] and Emma Jane Turner [Norris], and widow of the late Joseph Henry O'Berry. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, the Central Hill Ladies Bible Class and the WMU. Survivors include 7 daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae Spenyovics, Chesapeake, Mrs. Ruby Wright, Mrs. Susie White, Mrs. Alice N. Goodrich, all of Suffolk, Mrs. Sarah Britt, Smithfield, Mrs. Marjorle Goodrich, Wakefield, Mrs. Barbara Worrell, Ivor; 3 sons, Edward E. O'Berry, Wakwfield, Emmitt W. (Pete) O'Berry, Herbert F. O'Berry, both of Windsor; one brother, L.B. Norris, Windsor; 30 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was planned for 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, by Rev. Robert Wilkerson, with burial in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Her mother (1858 - 1954) is buried in Newman Memorial Cemetery, Oakland Christian Church, Chuckatuck. Her paternal grandfather Littleberry "Berry" NORRIS (ca. 1833 - 1877) was a Confederate veteran, having served as Captain of Co. C, 12th VA Light Artillery. His widow Sarah A. (COUNCIL) NORRIS (b. ca. 1836) applied for a pension in 1900 & 1902.
