O'BERRY Funeral services for Robert Lee O'Berry, who died early Tuesday morning at his home of Main Street, Smithfield were held at 5 p.m. on the afternoon of the same day with Rev. L.F. Paulette officiating. Interment was at Central Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Grimes, George Morris, Wilbur, John Henry Nother and Josh O'Berry. The deceased is survived by a sister, Mrs. Josh O'Berry and a brother, John Henry O'Berry. The next issue (May 9) of "The Smithfield Times," states the ice plant was sold to B.W. Godwin, who intended to move it to Chuckatuck. The next issue (May 16) leads with the destruction of Godwin's Chuckatuck lumber mill.
