ELVIN ALLEN POND

   NORFOLK - Elvin "Buck" Allen Pond, 42, of the 1012 West 26th St., died 
Wednesday at Norfolk General Hospital.

   He was a native of Isle of Wight County, was retired from the City of 
Norfolk and was in the Army Reserve.

   Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Nannie M. Edwards of Smithfield, 
Mrs. Rosa Lee Baker of Hampton, and Mrs. Susie P. Lowry of Suffolk; two 
brothers, John S. Pond of Chesapeake and Vernon W. Pond of Virginia Beach.

   Graveside services were held Friday in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, 
Ivor, by the Rev. Maria M. Waters.

   Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America. 
Colonial Funeral Home handled arrangements.
