The floral tributes were many and very beautiful. Mrs. Purvis, a daughter of the late William Stott and Frances Ward Stott, died at her home Popular Hill, near Burwell's Bay. She is survived by her husband J.F. Purvis, a niece, Miss Olive M. Stott of Chattanooga, Tenn., who has been staying with her for several months; a niece, Mrs. Allen G. McCabe and a nephew, W.A. Alley, both of Richmond, Va., and many more nieces and nephews. Mrs. Purvis was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County and a member of Bay View Church. She was held in affectionate esteem by all in the community who had the privilege of knowing. Willie (STOTT; Mrs. James F.)
