Mrs. Evalina Darden Pierce, aged 80, died, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Leighton A. Wright, 309 West 34th Street, Norfolk, Sunday [sic; Monday] afternoon at 4:15 o'clock. Besides Mrs. Wright, she is survived by a son, Theodore L. Pierce, of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Willie A. Lassiter, of Suffolk, and Mrs. Monie Vaughan, of Greensboro, N.C.; a brother, J.M. Darden, of Suffolk; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pierce was a native of Isle of Wight county, but had been a resident of Norfolk for the past three years. The remains will be taken to Isle of Wight Court House Christian Church for funeral services Tuesday at 2 p.m., and burial will be in the family lot at Antioch. ****************************************************************************** Mrs. Evilena Darden Pierce, aged 80, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Leighton A.
