Mrs. M. B. Presson 

  Mrs. Minnie B. Presson, of Isle of Wight County, widow of the late W.R. 
Presson, died Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Pattie Piland of Isle of Wight County.  In addition to Mrs. Piland, Mrs. 
Presson is survived by another daughter, Mrs. F.D. Hautz, of 421 Westover 
Avenue, Norfolk; four sons, R.L. Presson of Hopewell, W.R. Presson, Jr., and 
B.T. Presson, of Portsmouth, and C.C. Presson, of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. 
L.J. Crumpler, of Smithfield, and Mrs. Mollie Griffin, of Portmouth; and a 
brother, T.E. Edwards of Richmond. 

  Funeral procession left Roberts & Johnson Funeral Home at 12:15 P.M. for 
services at Antioch Christian Church at 1:00 P.M.  They were conducted by 
Rev. Luther Belote of Philadelphia. 

  Pallbearers were Lester Edwards, Linwood Edwards, Norris Edwards, Robert 
Edwards, Geo. Edwards, and J.E. Woodard.

Her parents, Josiah Thomas & Mary Frances (HALL) EDWARDS, are also buried 
   there. 

Her gravestone shows "1868 - 1942."  A photo of it - added by Ron Stewart -

The 1900 Census - Newport Dist., Isle of Wight Co., gives b. Jan 1870. 

D.Cert. 1603 (Newport #2) gives b. 22 Jun 1872.
