Leopold O. Parker, died at 12:40 o’clock Monday at her home here. Mrs. Parker is survived by one sister, Mrs. Gilbert Olson, of Mansfield, La.; one brother, Fred Chalmers, of Wichita Falls, Tex.: a niece Helen Chalmers Quinlan, and a great-nephew, John David Quinlan, both of Smithfield. Funeral services were held at 5 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Christ Episcopal Church. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were, J.T. Robbins, Jr., of Smithfield; Dr. Holmes Chapman of Suffolk; Wesley Seward, Dr. Wilson Ames and Charlie Gardner, of Smithfield, and Jimmie Old, of Virginia Beach. Honorary pallbearers were: John I. Cofer, Sr., Mr. Madison, Dr. W.C. Ames, Waverly Thomas, L.T. Gatling, James T. Robbins Sr., Vincent Joyner, Ralph Sharp, Hugh Warren, Willie Holmes Chapman, Lewis Chapman, Gordon Delk, Brooke Pruden, Jim Cox, Trent Chapman and Herbert Hall.
