She was a native of Floyd County, a housewife and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #127. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Andrew and Bessie Reed Young Booth. Survivors include her husband, Paul Rader Pruitt; one son, Paul R. Pruitt Jr.; one daughter, Viki P. Burch; three sisters, Irene King of Carrollton, Geraldine Guilliams of York County and Betty Sue Gordon of Varina; one brother, Marvin Booth of Mathews, and three grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Lepski officiating. Entombment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Suffolk. Memorial contribution may be made to the Hope Lodge, American Cancer Society, 636 West Lexington St., Baltimore, MD 21201. Colonial Funeral Home in Smithfield is handling arrangements.
