VIRGINIA PORTER 

Mrs. Virginia Roberts Porter, of Isle of Wight, died Tuesday in Louise Obici 
Memorial Hospital, Suffolk.  Mrs. Porter, a native of Crewe, Va., was a 
graduate of Harrisonburg State Teachers College and a former school teacher 
in the Isle of Wight County School System.  She was a member of the Isle of 
Wight Christian Church, the church organist, and a member of the Women's 
Fellowship of the church.  Survivors include one sister, Miss Dorothy E. 
Roberts, Crewe Va.  A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in 
Uzzell's United Methodist Church Cemetery, Isle of Wight with the Rev. Conrad 
F. Cornelius officiating.  The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm 
Wednesday at Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.
