She was a native of Isle of Wight County and a housewife. She was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Clara R. Lokken of Smithfield and a granddaughter. She was the widow of Percy Scott Rife. She was the daughter of the late Ocie O. [sic; J.*] and Clara Bland Uzzell. A graveside service was held Saturday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. in St. Luke's Memorial Park with the Rev. Donald Rhoton officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Smithfield Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Wainwrlght Drive, Smithfield, Va. 23430.
