English, after a lingering illness. Mr. Raiford was the son of the late Jethro and Mrs. Mary Duke Raiford. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, where he served as deacon. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World and a World War veteran. Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Carmel Christian Church Sunday afternoon, December 29, at 2:30 o’clock by the Rev. T.F. Wright. Pallbearers were: C.C. Bland, O.B. Joyner, Julian Carr, R.T. Bowden, F.H. Johnson, C.H. Joyner, John Bradshaw and E.W. Beale.
