He was the son of the late John T. and Henrietta Purvis Rose, and was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and of the Men’s Bible Class. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Ballard Rose; a daughter, Miss Zella Maie Rose; two brothers, Junie Rose and John Rose, of Carrsville; four sisters, Mrs. S.V. Butler, of Carrsville; Mrs. W.J. Bryant, of Lynchburg; Mrs. James Heffington, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Minnie Butler, of Carrsville and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted from Beaver Dam Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, with the following pallbearers: W.H. Jones of A., F.M. Clements, A.W. Ballard, W.T. Daughtrey, A.R. Butler, John Edward Rose, John Ballard, Sr., and S.W. Butler.
