JAMES FENTON ROSE 

   Fenton Rose, aged 58 years, died suddenly Thursday morning at his home 
near Carrsville in Isle of Wight County.  He was the son of the late John 
T. and Henrietta Purvis Rose, and was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church 
and of the Men’s Bible Class.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Ballard Rose; a daughter, Miss 
Zella Maie Rose; two brothers, Junie Rose and John Rose, of Carrsville; four 
sisters, Mrs. S.V. Butler, of Carrsville; Mrs. W.J. Bryant, of Lynchburg; 
Mrs. James Heffington, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Minnie Butler, of Carrsville and 
a number of nieces and nephews.

   Services will be conducted from Beaver Dam Baptist Church Saturday 
afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, with the following pallbearers: W.H. Jones of A., 
F.M. Clements, A.W. Ballard, W.T. Daughtrey, A.R. Butler, John Edward Rose, 
John Ballard, Sr., and S.W. Butler.
