   CHARLIE DAVID RICHARDS 

  Suffolk, Jan. 7. - Charles David Richards, nine-months-old son of Mr. and 
Mrs. L.D. Richards, died Tuesday afternoon at the home of his parents on Park 
avenue, after a short illness of pneumonia. 

  Funeral services were held at the residence at 1 o'clock, Wednesday 
afternoon, conducted by the Rev. I.W. Johnson.  Burial was made in Mount 
Carmel Cemetery.

   RICHARDS, and Pearl Leonard PIERCE, daughter of Charles Richard & 
   Lizzie Lee (MODLIN) PIERCE {1hub}, m, 26 May 1923, in Gatesville, Gates 
   Co., NC; the "return" portion of the M.Cert. by J.P. Jno. B. WALTON gives 
   Jas. D. Rickards & Mattie Rickards. 

His parents are buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Thonotosassa, 
   Hillsborough Co., FL. 

His paternal grandfather (1882 - 1938) was buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery 
   with his parents, John James & Mary Louise (TURNER) RICHARDS.  However, 
   he is marked with his wife (1884 - 1963) in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk.

   Charles, an ironworker/shipfitter, developed epilepsy and was an inmate of 
   the State Colony in Amherst Co. for the last 18 years of his life. 

Widowed, she 2m. Charles' widowed brother James Ceaphus [Cephas] PIERCE 
   (1880 - 1963), 20 Mar 1948 in Nansemond Co.  (Suffolk #36)
