Rhodes Buried Sunday Mrs. Cornelia Virginia Rhodes, aged 83, widow of John James Rhodes, died at her home at 6 o'clock in Windsor after a long illness. Mrs. Rhodes, a daughter of Jacob and Martha Darden Turner, of Isle of Wight County, was a charter member of Colosse Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. J.A. Coggins and Mrs. Martha Lewis, both of Windsor; Mrs. Hurley Gay, of Zuni, and Mrs. Chester L. Carr, of Collosse; four sons, Emmett Lee, Ernest N., John B. and Kenie P. Turner all of Windsor; one brother, J.A. Turner, of Zuni; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Colosse Baptist Church by the Rev. Rufus Corbitt, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Beecher L. Rhodes, of Norfolk, and the Rev. Sidney Cobb. Burial was in the church cemetery.
