All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ENOCH LEE RHODES Enoch Lee Rhodes, 72, farmer of the Colosse community, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 27, at 2:30 p.m. at his home. He was the son of the late Eley and Mary Elizabeth Rhodes of Isle of Wight County, and a member of the Colosse Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Howard Lee Rhodes of Suffolk, James Curtis Rhodes of Carrsville and William Wilson Rhodes of Walters; a daughter, Mrs. Florine Parker of Carrsville; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lottie Turner of Smithfield; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock in Colosse Baptist Church by Rev. Curtis Hoffman, pastor and Rev. J. Sidney Cobb, a former pastor. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were C.L. Carr, Sherman H. Redd, Edward Lankford, Thurman Turner, J.P. Carr, Jr., Letcher Turner, R.L. Turner and Jasper Carr.
