Rhodes Dies Four Days After Mother's Death John Burgess Rhodes, 56, prominent farmer of Windsor community, died Monday afternoon at his home after being in ill health for many months. Mr. Rhodes was the husband of Mrs. Estelle Hines Rhodes, of Windsor and a son of the late John James Rhodes and Mrs. Cornelia Virginia Rhodes, who preceded her son in death by only four days. He was a life resident of Isle of Wight County and a member of Colosse Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World Lodge of Walters. Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Ivey Christine Rhodes and John Byron Rhodes, both of Windsor; four sisters, Mrs. John A. Coggin and Mrs. Martha Lewis, of Windsor; Mrs. Hurley Gay, of Zuni, and Mrs. Chester L. Carr, of Collosse; three brothers, Emmett B., Ernest N. and Kenie P. Rhodes, all of Windsor, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at Colosse Baptist Church at 4 o'clock by the Rev. Rufus H. Corbitt. Burial was in the church cemetery.
