RHODES, J. P.

Norfolk, Va., March 23 - J.P. Rhodes, a prominent farmer and school trustee of 
Isle of Wight County, died today* at his home at Windsor, Va., according to a 
telegram received in Berkley.  Pneumonia was the cause of death.  Mr. Rhodes 
was the father of Rev. Beecher L. Rhodes, D.D., pastor of the Berkley Avenue 
Church. 


Jethro P. RHODES, farmer & school trustee, Confederate veteran, 
Isle of Wight Co. native, d. 22 Mar 1923*, at home, Windsor, age 83, 
interred in Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery*, Collosse, 23 Oct 1949, 
"The Richmond (VA) Times-Dispatch," Mar. 24, 1923
