Never Owned a Pocket Knife, Went Fishing or Rode on Train. (Special to The Times-Dispatch.) WINDSOR, VA., August. 23. - Mr. Jethro H. Rhodes, a prominent farmer of this county, died at his home, about four miles from here, early yesterday morning, from the result of a paralytic stroke. Mr. Rhodes was ninety-five years of age, and continued hale and hearty until his death. His life had been a model one, and quite remarkable, owing to the fact that he never owned a gun or pocket knife, had never been fishing or hunting and never rode on a railway train in his life. He is survived by his wife, two sons and numerous grandchildren and a great- grandchild. ****************************************************************************** CONDENSED NEWS _____ Brief Items of Interest for the Busy Reader [...] Jethro Rhodes, the oldest citizen of Isle of Wight county, is dead, aged 95 years.  He rose early as usual, went out and fed his hogs, walked back to the house, lay down and quietly passed away. Mr. Rhodes had lived almost a century without ever having been attended by a doctor.
