Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Donald E. Trump and the Rev. Clark A. Wiseman. Burial was in Colosse Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers were J.P. Carr, Dr. Clem C. Crossland Jr., Jack Carr, Clayton Darden, Marion Howell, Carlton Outland Jr., Raymond Darden and Robert Ellis. Rhodes, 76, died Wednesday morning in his home. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a retired farmer and a member of Colosse Baptist Church. He was the husband of Mrs. Bertha Leona Turner Rhodes and a son of Charlie and Mrs. Mary Emma Darden Rhodes. Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marie R. Holland of Windsor; three sisters, Mrs. A.L. Sorrell of Portsmouth and Mrs. D.W. Turner and Mrs. Robert Turner of Windsor; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
