All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ANNIE ASHBURN RAWLS Mrs. Annie Ashburn Rawls, 71, widow of Lafayette Rawls of Holland, died in Richmond at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, February 6. She had been in ill health for a long time. She is survived by three sons, Emmett L. Rawls of Holland, and James A. and Peter E. Rawls of Richmond, and by six grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Rawls were conducted Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, with Rev. H.L. Foster and Dr. C.P. Anderson officiating. The choir of the church sang the hymns, "Rock Of Ages" and "My Faith Looks Up To Thee," and Mrs. Vernon Holland sang a solo, "Sunrise." Burial was in the church cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers: Thomas Ashburn, William Jones, Lawrence Jones, Felton Rawls, Parks Ashburn, William Darden and Jasper Daughtrey.
