Mrs. Nettie Rawls Succumbs at 88 

  Mrs. Nettie H. Rawls, 88, died this morning at 6:30 a.m. at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. E.E. McClenny, of Crittenden. 

  She was the wife of the late John F. Rawls, of Holland, and a daughter of 
the late Jesse and Antoinette Simons Council, of Isle of Wight County. 

  Besides Mrs. McClenny, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. James A. 
Goodrick [sic; Goodrich], of Suffolk, and Mrs. E.B. Willock, of Newport News; 
a son, Felton C. Rawls, of Suffolk; nine grandchildren and 12 great 
grandchildren; a sister, Miss Bertie Council, of Norfolk, and a number of 
nieces and nephews. 

  The body was taken to the I.O. Hill and Company Funeral Home, where it will 
remain until Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock.  At this time it will be taken to 
Beaver Dam Baptist Church for funeral services at 2:30 p.m. 

  Officiating minister will be the Rev. E.C. Thornton.  Interment will take 
place in the church cemetery.
