A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wells Rawles and the husband of the late Mrs. Clara Rawles. He was a member of Chapel Grove Christian Church, a veteran of World War I, and a retired railroad man. He is survived by two sisters, Miss Annie Rawles of Camden, N.J., and Mrs. Savillia Miller of Sussex County; and three brothers, Buck Rawles of Windsor, Robert Rawles of Baltimore, and George Rawles of Jacksonville, Fla. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Chapel Grove Christian Church by Bishop Richard Brown. Burial will be in Tyler Cemetery with military honors. The family will meet at his home Sunday at noon. Pretlow Funeral Home has charge.
