[sic; R.] Rawls Dies At Zuni Residence Owen R. Rawls, aged 61 years, died at his residence in Zuni Thursday morning at 6 o'clock, after an illness of a year. He was stricken with a second stroke of paralysis a few days ago and never rallied. He was the son of the late Richard H. Rawls and Mary Kilby Rawls of Southampton county. Mr. Rawls is survived by his wife, Lizzie Pierce Rawls, and one son, Robert H. Rawls, and the following brothers and sisters: Mr. R.F. Rawls of Burkeville, Va.; Robert H., and Hugh M. Rawls, of Richmond, Va.; Willie Rawls, of Ivor; Mrs. S.J. Hopkins, Norfolk, and Mrs. J.R. Rollings, Surry, Va. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday by Rev. W.A. Harwood and Rev. Vernon L. Fisher of Zuni. Interment was in Antioch cemetery.
