EDNA RAMSEY TO BE BURIED THURSDAY AT 4 P.M. Mrs. Edna Roxie Ramsey, 75, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Louise R. Laine* in Ivor Tuesday night after a short illness. She was the widow of John Albert Ramsey and the daughter of the late Augustus W. and Roxie Anna White. She was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County and a member of the Mill Swamp Baptist Church. Besides Mrs. Laine* she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Eugenie R. Myers of Ivor and three sons, Walter Hyden Ramsey of Waverly, John A. Ramsey Sr., and Charles M. Ramsey, both of Ivor; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The remains were taken from the Bullock Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon to her home at Sycamore Cross in Isle of Wight County where services will be conducted at 4 o'clock Thursday by Rev. Julian Orell of Ivor. Dr. Furman R. Kenney and Dr. J.L. Carrick of Syler City, North Carolina. Interment will be in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** EDNA ROXIE RAMSEY SMITHFIELD, VA., APRIL 15 - Mrs. Edna Roxie Ramsey, 75, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louise R. Lane, of Ivor, Va. A lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of John Albert Ramsey. Besides Mrs. Lane, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Eugenia R. Myers of Ivor; three sons, Walter H. Ramsey, of Waverly, John A. Jr., and Charles M. Ramsey, both of Ivor, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Friday at her home at Sycamore Cross, Isle of Wight County. Burial will be in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
