Remick Of Smithfield, Buried Monday Mrs. Edward T. Remick, 87, died early Sunday morning, September 5th after a long illness, at the home of her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Remick, near Smithfield. Mrs. Remick, widow of the late Mr. Edward T. Remick of Smithfield and Newport News, was a native of Canada. She came from Detroit, Michigan to Virginia in 1896 where she made her home. Besides her son and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Remick is survived by five grandchildren, William C. Remick, Betty Lu Remick, Edward T. Remick II, Edith E. Remick and Nathaniel F Remick. Funeral services were held at the home at 4:30 Monday afternoon. Interment was in Old St. Luke's Church Cemetery in Isle of Wight County. Active pallbearers, R.A. Cox; Granville Starke; W.P. Warren; W.F. Moody; R.Y. Baker and L.T. Gatling.
