Spivey, 78, son of the late Kennie T.* and Martha Rhodes Spivey of Isle of Wight County, died Saturday morning at the home of his daughter Mrs. J. Goode Johnson, near Carrsville, after an illness of two years. Besides Mrs. Johnson he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Alfred Carr, of Holland; a brother, John T. Spivey, of Suffolk; a sister, Miss Lulie Spivey, of Colosse; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at Collosse Baptist Church by the Rev. Rufus Corbitt, the Rev. W.H. Corbitt, the Rev. Beecher Rhodes of Norfolk; Dr. I.W. Johnson of Suffolk and the Rev. J.T. Garland Moore, of Carrsville. Burial was in the church cemetery.
