SPIVEY Mahailey Redd Spivey, 83, of the 26000 block of Spiveytown Road, died Jan. 13, 2000, at Obici Hospital. She was a native of Isle of Wight County and the daughter of the late Charles Cephas Redd and Gertie Crumpler Redd. She was also predeceased by a son, Wayne O. Spivey; two sisters, Leona Spivey and Belva Powell; and a brother, Wilbur Redd. She was a homemaker and a member of Colosse Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Benjamin C. Spivey; a grandson and his wife, Anthony Wayne and Patricia G. Spivey; a great-grandson, Wayne Spivey, all of Windsor; a sister and her husband, Frances Redd and Raymond H. Spivey of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family after the service in the Fellowship Hall of Colosse Baptist Church. Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mahailey Lorraine (REDD; Mrs. Benjamin C.)
