M.V. SYKES IS THIS AFTERNOON (WED.) Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Virginia Sykes, 86*, will be held in the Smithfield Baptist Church this afternoon (Wednesday)*. Burial will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Sykes, who was a native of Surry, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. U.O. Coulbourn in Waverly at 9 a.m. Monday morning after an illness lasting three years. The deceased, who was the oldest member living of the Smithfield Baptist Church at the time of her death is survived by three sons, W.H. Sykes and D.W. Sykes of Smithfield, and K.D.
