Scott, age 63, for many years merchant and postmaster, died at his home in Carrsville Friday at 4 o'clock following a stroke of paralysis. Besides his wife, Mrs. Sally Lankford Scott, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Carl Gwaltney, of Smithfield, Mrs. H.O. Duck, Jr., and Mrs. Delman R. Carr of Carrsville; three grandchildren, one brother and five sisters. Burial services were conducted at the grave in Beaver Dam Cemetery Sunday at 2 P.M. by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson, of Franklin Baptist Church, Rev. Rufus Corbitt of Colosse* Baptist Church, and Rev. Herbert S. Southgate of Trinity Methodist Church, Smithfield. Active pallbearers were J.F. Johnson, S.V. Butler, A.R. Butler, S.H. Pruden, Bill Robertson, K.H. Duke, C.H. Joyner and J.F.
