SCOTT Funeral services for Luther A. Scott, who died in Baltimore, Md. on Monday morning, November 12, after a short illness, were conducted at the grave in the Beaver Dam Cemetery on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock by Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. The pallbearers were J. Vaughan Beale, S.V. Butler, Tommy Daughtrey, R.R. Lankford, R.L. Miles and Harry Steinhardt. Mr. Scott was the son of the late George W. and Virginia Anne Scott of Southampton County. Surviving him are several nieces and nephews. Luther A. His parents m. 21 Nov 1865 (Southampton Co. MB1A:81). His widowed father (b. Sep 1842) was still there in 1900 {OFF #15}. Luther appears in the 1920 Census in Portsmouth.
